How the mask system works
How does the Baldus® suction system work in detail? When the patient exhales into the inner mask, a membrane opens and the exhaled gas enters the outer mask. The suction in the outer mask is separated from the inner mask so that the patient can breathe in without any further resistance. This minimises the unpleasant straw effect of other mask systems. The double-nose mask system successfully protects personnel from the exhaled gas. The cosy, autoclavable nasal masks are easy to replace and are available for both adults and children.
