The first half of the year is over and we look back on some of the trade fair highlights of 2019.
Baldus nitrous oxide sedation loves to travel. That's why we traveled to beautiful Switzerland in January for the annual conference of the Swiss Association for Pediatric Dentistry (SVK) in Bern. At the same time, our new sales representative Torsten Schultz celebrated his premiere for the Baldus nitrous oxide sedation. The Swiss dental association was visibly interested in our nitrous oxide sedation, especially in our mask system. The modern design with easy handling and more hygiene immediately aroused enthusiasm among the conference participants.
Then we packed our nitrous oxide sedation, Baldus Touch and Baldus Analog well, because we flew to Dubai for the AEDDC like last year. At our stand in the German Pavilion we met many familiar faces and were able to expand existing business relationships with distributors. Ultimately, our goal is for Baldus nitrous oxide sedation to become indispensable in dental practices around the world.
Almost at the same time, the boss personally packed the Baldus nitrous oxide sedation into the car. The goal was the 38th international symposium for maxillofacial surgeons, oral surgeons, dentists and orthodontists in snowy St. Anton am Arlberg. This event simply belongs in our trade fair calendar and we are always happy to certify conference participants as certified users of nitrous oxide.
The spring conference of the DGKiZ in Würzburg could not be missed either. For our Baldus nitrous oxide sedation, it's like coming home. Many already know us and there are always interesting discussions about nitrous oxide sedation in pediatric dentistry. We notice that gentle sedation with nitrous oxide is the method of choice, especially for children.
The trade fair highlight in 2019 was definitely the International Dental Show in Cologne, the world's leading trade fair for the dental world. More than 160,000 trade visitors from 166 countries met more than 2,300 exhibitors from 64 countries, spread over 170,000 m². We were right in the middle with our 40 m² in Hall 11.2. The international interest in our nitrous oxide sedation was definitely striking this year. German dentists were definitely enthusiastic about nitrous oxide sedation, but we found that the Baldus nitrous oxide sedation, with the German seal of quality, was a highlight among the foreign audience. Our advantage is that in many countries nitrous oxide sedation is part of everyday life, so that the modern, innovative nitrous oxide sedation system is the main focus here. Many contacts to interested dealers worldwide could be made, so that we can develop new business relationships all over the world. We are very excited to see where the journey of our Baldus nitrous oxide sedation will continue.
The last station in the first half of 2019 was the island of Crete. Here we accompanied the industrial exhibition at the 11th seminar of European children's dentistry.
Now we're going on a little summer break for our Baldus nitrous oxide sedation. But there is no standstill, the preparations for the 1st German Laughing Gas Congress on August 24th in Koblenz are already in full swing. The nitrous oxide congress will also be the start in which our nitrous oxide sedation can wake up from the summer break. In autumn, exciting stations in Vienna, Frankfurt, Munich and the Mediterranean are on the program.
